Safety
Last updated: 8 October 2026
Read this before you install. You use Kansei Link at your own risk.
Check it fits
- Mazda MX-5 ND: ND1 or ND2, roadster or RF.
- Mazda Connect 74.00.324 or 324A only. Check at Settings › System › About › Version Information.
- Pro's Designer: Windows 10 or 11.
On any other firmware, the installer stops and changes nothing.
On the road
- Your car's speedometer is the one that counts. Kansei Link isn't a replacement.
- Lap and 0 to 60 timers are for track and off-road use only. Never on public roads.
- Change themes and settings only when you're parked.
- While driving, stick to gauge screens. UK law only lets a driver see vehicle, location, road and route information on a screen. Other countries have their own rules.
Warranty and insurance
- Kansei Link is unofficial. Mazda doesn't make, approve or support it.
- Mazda's warranty doesn't cover problems caused by unofficial software.
- A Mazda software update removes Kansei Link, and may move your car to firmware we don't support. Remove it before a dealer visit.
- If your insurance policy asks about modifications, tell your insurer.
Installing and removing
- Park somewhere safe and keep the engine running.
- Follow the install guide in your download.
- Don't pull the USB stick out until the guide says it's finished.
- To remove Kansei Link, put the same stick in, choose REMOVE and confirm. Your screen goes back to Mazda's standard display.
